QUESTIONS
ADDITIONS
WHO
Tell AI who the audience is. Their role, education level, what they already know, what they resist. The more specific you are about WHO, the more targeted the output.
Example"Write this for a 52-year-old VP of Operations who is skeptical of AI, has zero technical background, and needs to feel in control, not replaced. No jargon."
WHAT
Define the deliverable. What does success look like when you're done? Be specific. A vague WHAT produces a vague result every single time.
Example"Write a one-page executive summary that shows ROI on AI training. Highlight 3 specific metrics. Include a recommendation section."
WHY
Give AI the context and backstory. What problem exists? What's been tried? What failed? Why does this matter right now? Context is the difference between generic and great.
Example"We've rolled out two AI tools and adoption failed both times because the team didn't trust it. We need to shift the narrative from threat to tool."
HOW
Specify the format. PDF, email, slide deck, short bullets, long narrative? Casual or formal? Format shapes everything about how the output lands.
Example"Give me 5 punchy bullet points for a Slack message. Under 120 words. Conversational. No headers. End with a clear call to action."
EXAMPLE
Show AI what good looks like. Paste a sample in the style you want. This step alone 10x's your output quality.
Example"Write it in a style similar to this: [paste your reference]. Match the energy and directness. Not the exact words."
QUESTIONS
Before AI starts, have it ask you clarifying questions. This is the single most underused step. It cuts editing time in half.
Example"Before you begin, ask me any questions you need to produce the best possible output. Don't assume anything."
ADDITIONS
Layer in your rules and guardrails. What must AI never do? What must it always include? These override everything else and protect your voice.
Example"Never use corporate buzzwords. Don't mention competitor names. Always end with a human moment. Sound like a person, not a press release."

HIVE is thinking...
Tap any framework to expand it.
AMPLIFY, NOT AUTOMATE
Core
The foundational HIVE philosophy.
"We focus on real, human-centered AI training where we guide teams on how to truly control AI in their operations for maximum effectiveness."
— Mitch Mitchem

AI is the engine. Powerful, but useless on its own. The interface is the car. But you, the human, are the driver. You give it direction and purpose. Without you, the system goes nowhere.

Your unique knowledge, experiences, and stories allow you to get results from AI that no one else can replicate. The secret weapon isn't the AI. It's YOU directing it with your irreplaceable perspective.

AI can scale your outreach. It cannot scale your trust.

THE 3 TRUTHS
Mindset
Knowledge. Wisdom. Action.
"When the value of knowledge is reduced to near zero, what's the value of wisdom?"
— Mitch Mitchem

Truth 1: The cost of knowledge is now ZERO.
Anyone can access information instantly. That used to be your edge. It isn't anymore.

Truth 2: What we need most is WISDOM.
Knowing facts is table stakes. Knowing what to do with them — and what NOT to do — is everything.

Truth 3: Action is the only metric that matters.
Before you ship any AI output, ask: "Can this help me take action?" If the answer is no, it's noise.

HUMAN SKILLS FRAMEWORK
People
What AI cannot replicate. What you must protect.
"Humans have lost so much — our ability to communicate, to build community at work and in life. AI just revealed that to us."
— Mitch Mitchem
🎯
Goal Setting
Without a clear goal, AI produces noise. Humans define what winning looks like. Goal clarity is the most critical human skill in an AI world — nothing moves until you name the target.
🤝
Accountability
AI doesn't own outcomes. You do. The human in the loop is always responsible for the result — whether AI helped create it or not. This never changes, no matter how advanced the tool.
💬
Communication
The ability to connect, influence, and move people is irreplaceable. AI can draft your message. It cannot deliver it with the authenticity and presence that changes minds and closes deals.
🧠
Critical Thinking
AI produces. Humans evaluate. Knowing when to trust an output, when to push back, when to throw it out — that's judgment. Judgment cannot be prompted into existence. It must be developed.
🔗
Relationship Building
Trust is built between humans. Your network, your reputation, your ability to create belonging — AI can support these things, but it cannot create them.
🎭
Adaptability
AI changes faster than any human can keep up with. The competitive advantage isn't mastering one tool — it's being the kind of person who can master the next one.
THE GRANDFATHER TEST
Clarity
The simplest quality check you'll ever use.
"If your grandfather can't understand it, your audience probably can't either."
— Mitch Mitchem

Before you ship any AI-generated output, read it out loud. Ask yourself: would a sharp 75-year-old with no industry jargon understand exactly what this says and what it's asking them to do?

If the answer is no, it's not ready. AI loves complexity. Humans need clarity. Your job is to be the bridge between the two.

Clarity is the highest form of intelligence. Complexity is usually just insecurity.

WHAT GAME ARE YOU PLAYING?
Strategy
The BlackBerry question every leader must answer.
"Just because we CAN do it doesn't mean we SHOULD. But could it make the tradesman's life easier, faster and better so he can serve clients better? Absolutely."
— Mitch Mitchem

In 2007, BlackBerry held 50% of the smartphone market. Apple had 3–5%. BlackBerry kept winning the old game. Apple was building the new one.

The question isn't whether AI is happening. The question is: which game are you playing? Organizations winning right now are using AI to make their people MORE capable. Not cheaper. More capable.

THE SUCCESS CYCLE
Process
How HIVE drives 97% implementation success.
"We're not an AI consultant. We're friction elimination specialists. We eliminate the human barriers BEFORE implementation."
— Mitch Mitchem

Step 1: Find the Friction. Identify what's actually blocking adoption. It's almost never the technology.

Step 2: Leverage Human Skills. Your team's expertise becomes the filter for everything AI produces.

Step 3: Let the Wise Be Wise. Expert + AI consistently triples results over AI used without expertise.

Step 4: Measure What Moves. HIVE guarantees measurable ROI within 90 days.

7 of the most common AI myths — and the truth behind each one.
My competitors can see what I put into AI
Your inputs are private. Enterprise AI tools are built with security and data separation. Your prompts don't train the model and aren't visible to anyone else. Use the enterprise version of any tool you're concerned about.
AI will replace all jobs
AI replaces tasks, not people who adapt. The MIT-BCG State of AI at Work study found companies adopting AI successfully often create more roles than they eliminate. AI handles repetitive tasks — freeing humans to focus on judgment, creativity, and trust.

Using AI is cheating
A calculator didn't make math cheating. AI is a tool. Your judgment and wisdom are what make the output worth anything. Without you directing it with intention, the output is average at best.
AI will make me less intelligent
The real risk is overconfidence, not atrophy. Research shows 72% of AI users feel more confident than their actual competence warrants. The antidote: use AI to think harder and challenge your assumptions — not to confirm them.
LLMs are impossible to secure
Enterprise AI tools include role-based access, compliance controls, and data governance. Secure deployment is very achievable — it requires intentional setup, not avoidance.
AI automatically boosts productivity for everyone
A 2025 meta-analysis across 83 studies found AI's productivity gains are highly context-dependent and vary by skill level. Human-AI collaboration often underperforms without proper training. The 6% trained correctly are 3x more likely to exceed their goals. The tool alone does nothing.

AI is only for big companies with big budgets
Cloud-based AI is available to any individual or small team for under $30/month. A 10-person company with a trained team can outpace a 1,000-person company still debating whether to try it. Size is no longer the advantage. Speed and wisdom are.
